Problems installing Nest Cam battery on Nest Hub Max

The Google Home app tells me I need to install it using the Nest app.
I go to the Nest app and as soon as I scan the code it tells me I need to use the Google Home app to install this device.
On the Nest app if I try continue without scanning I get a bit further and it tells me to choose the last 4 digits of the serial number but there is nowhere to enter any digits.
Help!

Are you using the latest version of the Google Home app? Nest Cam (battery) is setup in the Google Home app for sure, not the Nest app. Are you following these steps?
