Hi, I just bought a new nest cam indoor (2nd gen). According to this official help page, I should have "Person speaking alerts" alerts in my camera. In my home app, I can't find a way to configure it. I have a "nest aware" subscription.
When I open the "nest aware" setting, I should be able to configure "sound detection", but for some reason, I can only see "Familiar face detection now". And also inside the camera setting, I can only set "people" or "motion" alerts but no "sound" alerts. What am I missing?
I have attached screenshots from the app demonstrating the problem.

Hi @mbassem
At my house the Nest Hub (2e gen) devices are telling me who is at the doorbell. So the voice ringing is done by a Google device like Nest Hub, Nest Audio and Nest Mini.

Hi, thanks for your reply! I'm not referring to the doorbell notifications here. I'm referring to the notifications that cameras send when it detects a sound like a dog barking or people talking. Those notifications are similar to the "motion detected" notifications sent by cameras but for sounds instead.

Hi folks,
Mbassem, thanks for reaching out. We appreciate your interest; however, we don't have any news to share about applying this feature through the Google Home app. Our team is working hard to deliver the best experience for our users — I'd suggest you submit feedback about it, here's how. Keep an eye on the Google Nest Community page for any updates.
Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns, as I will be locking this in 24 hours if I don't hear back from you again. Feel free to start a new thread, and we'll be happy to help.
Thanks for the help here, RXShorty and Cathal_S.
Regards,
Juni

Hi mbassem,
This is not a feature for the 2nd Gen wired cameras. Please see the screenshot below from the Google Nest help center link you provided.
