I have a strange situation with my battery camera going offline. A few days ago, I received a notification that the camera was offline; I figured it was due to the cold. I brought the camera inside and put it on a desk-top dock that I have, and it started to work again immediately. Strange! I put it back outside on the magnetic mount and plugged the power cord back in. The next night, same story. I factory reset it this time as maybe it was a software bug and reinstalled it outside; less than 24 hours later, same story!
At this point, I was trying to determine the source of the issue (cable, magnetic mount, camera?) so I swapped locations with another camera I have and brough this one downstairs to isolate whether it was the cold weather; lo and behold, the camera goes offline in the middle of the night inside the house while connected to a power cord and magnetic mount.
I figure the camera is defective, but I want to give one more thing a shot: rather than having it mounted to the magnetic mount and power cable, I decided to set it up on the desk-top mount. To my surprise, the camera has not gone offline for a few days now.
I have just put it back on the magnetic mount to see if maybe the problem is resolved for good, so I will circle back with the results, but what could the issue be?
When the camera stops working, I am able to restart it, the lights work, but it refuses to connect or broadcast; I've tried pinging the IP to no avail. Could the magnetic mount be defective?

It's been working since I put it back on my magnetic mount. Really have no idea what the issue could have been...
