Talk and Listen not working - Samsung s22+

Hi,

I recently bought a nestdoorbell battery version and realized the Talk and Listen has compatibility issues with my samsung 22+ phone.

The recording and notifications are working properly with no delays

But the Talk and Listen function is not working. I am able to intermittently hear noises when the live streaming is on and the video is very clear.

But when i press the mic to talk, there is very very low voice getting emitted that the person at the door cant even hear it. When i checked the recordings also, my voice was barely audible even at max speaker volume.. All settings have been checked and mic is enabled and working properly on all other apps.

Even the Quick Responses are not audible/transmitting.

Have reinstalled the app twice and restarted the phone multiple times as well.

I have an iphone as well which is working flawlessely with no issues

Unfortunately i did read some threads from late 2021 and early 2022 that this was a samsung specific issue.

Any tips on how to fix this?

Thanks.

I'm also having some issues with talk and listen. Samsung S10+. My voice is very quiet coming from the speaker, voices at the doorbell are not so loud either. Audio on recorded events is of decent volume and clarity though. The auto responses do work in my case, well the 1 time I tried them they did

Hi everyone,

Thanks for posting here. This is not the experience we want you to have. To confirm, were there any power outages or recent changes to the wiring of your Nest Doorbell?

Give these steps a try:

  • Record your own voice through your default voice recorder app to check if your mobile phone's microphone is working fine.
  • Restart your Nest Doorbell.
  • In case you're still getting the same issue, reset your Nest Doorbell to the factory default.

Hit this link for more information.

Looking forward to your response.

Emerson
