Quite some time ago, shortly after the Google Home App migration, I started having all kinds of problems with my Nest Doorbell. Not only with my ios devices, but also my Google Home Hub.
The app will alert me that someone is at the front door, but 99% of the time when I open the app, I get a spinning circle and cannot view who's at the door. Sometimes I can view previous events, but there are many times that I get spinning circles there as well.
The doorbell quit notifying my home hub a long time ago as well. I can ask it to show me the front door and it will stream the front door, but none of the triggered events will activate the notification or streaming to the home hub.
The Google Home app is garbage. It should have feature parity with the Nest app, but it's far from it, and incredibly cumbersome to get to historic events on the camera and a mountain of garbage notifications from shifting light, birds chirping, etc...
I'm seriously considering ditching Google/Nest at this point...
