So I have the older 1st generation of cameras for my other 4 and have never had this issue, I purchased another outdoor which is a 2nd Gen and I regret it entirely. It says " this video isnt Avaliable yet, check back later" on literally 90% of the video history but it works just fine live and sends me notifications. I also am extremely frustrated I didn't know I had to use a whole different app for the 2 diff generations of cameras. So i have 4 on 1 app and then the new one on the Google home app. If they were going to do this why wouldn't they make the 1st generation able to view history on the Google home app also? But whatever. I asked for a refund as it was within 14 days and was told they could but I'd have to send the camera back. Okay that's fine but I paid 240$ for it to be installed and I'll have to pay again to have it taken down. Which means I'm out of that money because the product doesn't work. I was hung up on by a rep via a phone call, and then did a chat with reps which were less then helpful. I allowed access to the camera and the rep even agreed their was an issue but had no way for me to fix it. My 1st generation cameras have NEVER had this issue. I should have gotten a first Gen but hey I didn't know and wanted the new version thinking it would be better. Instead it's worse and unusable what is the point of a camera if I can't see video history? Yet me a single mom is out tons of money. I got this camera for security against my ex. Yet nest doesn't seem to care at all. Honestly might switch to ring. After 5 years using nest, 5 cameras and nest aware subscriptions you would think they would value me as a customer. Nope.
