Time Zone Incorrect on Cameras

My home address is correct on Nest but all my cameras show the wrong time.  However, we live on the line between 2 timezones. Literally half the house is in EST and the other half is in CST. We use EST.  There has to be a way to set the time on our cameras to reflect the correct timezone manually since it is not updating automatically.  I ha e gone into settings gso. MyNestapp but it does not show anywhere to update the time I timezone.  Any help with this would be great!

Hello EBLandry2023,

Thanks for posting in the Community. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble setting the correct time for your Nest cameras. Let’s check it out.

While there isn’t a way to manually set the time zone for the Nest app, you can try the troubleshooting steps below:

  1. Open your Android phone's Settings > General > Date and time.
  2. Toggle off and on the automatic date and time.
  3. Check the box for Automatic time zone.
  4. Go back to Settings > Apps > Nest > Permissions.
  5. Set the location to Allow all the time.
  6. If the issue persists, check for any available Android system updates and install them.
  7. Uninstall the Nest app, then restart your phone.
  8. Re-install the Nest app and check if the correct time is now displayed.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Lance
