Unable to answer doorbell

When someone rings the doorbell and I try to answer, the IOS app gives me the blue spinning circle and will not connect to my doorbell. I have reinstalled the app, reset the wifi router (google mesh system). Everything else on the app works fine except answering the doorbell. Anyone able to help?

Thanks for posting here in the community and for sharing with us what you've done so far. To know more about this, I'd like to ask some questions: does the issue occur on multiple mobile devices or cameras? Has the camera suffered any drops or impacts? Hold the mobile device near the camera and make sure both devices are connected to the same network. Then run a network speed test. What are the results of the test?


Give these steps a try:

  • Try restarting your Nest doorbell and your mobile phone.
  • Make sure that the microphone is enabled from your app settings.
  • To isolate the issue, open your audio or sound app from your phone then record an audio by your voice. This is to make sure that you have a working microphone from your phone.
