Unable to play back event history

MichaelM7794

For awhile now I am unable to playback event video history.
I’ve made sure my subscription was current

All updates current

Updated and restarted phone

Removed and reinstalled cameras to try and start over.
Why am I paying for this if it doesn’t work??

Can you confirm if you’re using the Nest app or Google Home app? The Neat app is confirmed to have playback issues after the most recent update.

I use the Nest app exclusively.  And as of today, my video thumbnails continue to be available, and play.

The thumbnails don’t seem to be affected. The Nest app issue is isolated to scrubbing through video history.

Exactly. I can scroll but will not play. Circle just spins

I have a 1st gen nest doorbell (wired) with a Pixel 2 w/Android 11:  After May 2022 update, I can not get thumbnail videos.  Here is how I fixed it:

Disconnect doorbell from frame and "Factory Reset" by pressing reset button and doorbell simultaneously.  Once completed, I reconnected the doorbell to my wifi, but it wouldn't connect.   Using the phone Nest app, I "reinstalled/setup" the doorbell as if it were brand new.  Once I completed all the steps on the phone app, my doorbell connected to wifi and I now have video thumbnails.   This was a lot of work, especially getting the doorbell cover removed.  Editorial:  Google has great hardware/software products, but software engineering quality control seems to be lacking; as if, upgrades are not tested before releasing to consumer.
