Vehicles not being recorded

I have Nest cameras with floodlights on the front and rear of my home. When a car drives into the driveway nothing happens. When I enter the garage which is right under the rear camera, the lights and the camera come on, but the event is not registered in the history. Nothing is recorded until someone gets out of the car that pulls into the driveway. This camera can pick up people who are walking across the street but can't record my car going into my garage? This is disturbing.

I have the same problem, but I find it works better in the daylight than at night. I get the vehicle notification better once the sun comes up rather than if the floodlights just come on.

I have the battery nest doorbell. All motion works other than the driveway never registers when I car pulls in. I’ve tried pretty much everything I’ve moved my zones cleared my zones expanded my zones.
