Viewing cameras on GOOGLE.HOME.COM often doesn't work?

I have both the gen 1 and gen 2 outdoor cameras from Nest.  And when I go to GOOGLE.HOME.COM I often get the endless spinning arrow when I try and view the recorded footage.   Is this happening to anyone else out there?  It seems to always work fine on my iPhone but viewing on in my browser on my 27" monitor is how I prefer to view the cameras.

In the last week I have reported this in the FEEDBACK section but I never hear back as to whether this is a know problem or not.   This is very frustrating.

I have clear the CACHE on my browser.  And I have tried both Safari and Chrome and they both have the same problem.

Any ideas?

Hi EmptyNester,

Thanks for posting in the community.

I understand that you are trying to view recorded footage from your Nest Cam Outdoor (1st and 2nd gen) using the web interface at google.home.com , but it is showing an endless spinning arrow, despite the cameras working fine on your iPhone app. I appreciate the troubleshooting efforts you have tried and I’m sorry for the frustration this is causing, especially since viewing on your larger monitor is your preferred method, I'm happy to look into this for you.

To provide better assistance, please answer the following questions:

  • When did the issue start?
  • Do you have a Nest Aware subscription?
  • What is the make and model of your computer?
  • Is the operating system of your computer updated?
  • Is this a personal or business computer?
  • What is the web version of the browser you use?
  • Are there any installed antivirus, security, or firewall software?
  • Are you able to check the camera’s live feed through google.home.com?
  • Could you please perform an internet speed test while you are having the issue? (please let me know if you find the download and upload speed offered by your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Virna

Hello Virna,

I'm not going thru all that when we both know it will lead to nowhere.  It has been working for months and now it's  not.

Please disregard I even asked.
