Visitor Announcements without migration

Hello,

I have the Nest Hello. I am subscribed to Nest Aware. I recently bought this doorbell for my new home but I have noticed that every time some one rings the doorbell it is not announcing that someone is at the door. I went into the settings, went to the Nest Hello camera, selected visitor announcements and it is telling me to set up in Google Assistant app. I click this button and it wants to start migrating my Nest account to Google. I don't want to migrate my nest account. Does this mean that I can't get the visitor announcements without migrating my account? If so then I don't believe that is fair. I can do everything else. I had a Nest Hello on my old house and left it for the new home owner. If I would have known that I couldn't get the visitor announcements I probably would have just taken the doorbell with me instead of spending more money on a new doorbell. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm an end user like you are.  This is a user forum so hopefully someone has run into this problem and might chime in and help.  However this sounds like it is one you may want to open ticket with the folks at Google to get more help.  Here is the link to open a ticket...

I reached out to Google and the only way for me to resolve the issue was to migrate my account from Nest to Google. It's not what I wanted to do since I didn't have this issue with my original doorbell but my issue has been resolved. I did lose the ability to integrate with Android TV by doing the migration. That's the unfortunate part for me.
