I have replaced an old doorbell with camera that was linked to two monitors in my home (1 downstairs, 1 upstairs) and I am in the process of replacing them both with wall mounted tablets. I do not want them to stream 24/7 and only turn on when the doorbell is pressed showing a live feed (Such as how the Home Hub & Home Hub Max work) Is there a way to get that to work?
I am leaning towards a Galaxy Tab A7 or similar so I guess that Tasker may be able to assist in that, but I am not sure where to start, has anyone achieved this themselves or have any pointers?
Thanks in advance.

I am unsure if there would be a way to automate this (without a TON of custom work).. I am curious why you would not just get a Nest Hub and place it where you were planning on putting the tablet? Pricing is very similar, and it will do exactly what you are looking for?

The shape of the Home Hub isn't conducive to wall mounting. I want a flush mount and the base of the Hub would not allow that, although it would be loads easier to set up.
