Hi! I just replaced my Ring doorbell with a Nest doorbell. The mount and everything work great, but my doorbell is on a brick wall that surrounds my front door. I was able to mount it OK, but because of the brick, there's still be a bit of a gap behind the device and the bricks because of the anchors.
It's not a huge gap, but with the Ring, the baseplate had an edge to it, so it fully covered the screw holes and wires.
Should I be concerned, and if so, what might I do to tighten the gap?

You could try getting some rubber gasket material at your local hardware store, cut it in an oval to match your doorbell, drill or cut holes in it, and mount it between your brick wall and the doorbell so the back of the doorbell is better shielded from the weather.
