Wired Nest Cam flashing white and green

Hello,

My indoor wired Nest camera stopped working and is slow flashing green and white.

I unplugged it, waited, plugged it back in, same result. I tried to factory reset it, and it does not factory reset. It will give a quick flash of red and then go back to flashing the white and green. It doesn't make any sounds when trying to reset it.

I've removed it from the app and tried those same steps, no luck.

Factory reset gets me a white light, then the green light, no blue light, and I am unable to complete the “add a device” process in the home app.

Do these just die at some point?

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Are you holding down the reset pin for at least 12 seconds, until the status light blinks yellow 4 times with a countdown tone, and then a solid yellow with a confirmation tone?

To contact Support:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

Yes - I've held the reset button for 30+ seconds.  Around the 12 second point I get the quick flash of red and then back to the green and white slow flash.  No yellow lights or audio clues.

Perhaps you should contact Support. Google Nest has no documentation on the meaning of a status light flashing white and green:

I contacted support.  After walking me through everything I tried, they determined it must be a hardware issue - and it is no longer under warranty.

I didn't have this issue until enabling the garage door monitoring feature. I enable that and shortly after this issue started.

Ouch!

Ring provides a lifetime warranty to customers who subscribe to their video history plan. It's unfortunate for us that Google Nest does not provide something like that for Nest Aware subscribers.
