Wireless chime for wired doorbell?

mosstheboss

I have a Next doorbell. It is connected to my Nest network so I get notifications on my Pixel phone when somebody rings the doorbell.

But, I cannot hear the doorbell inside the house. Is there a wireless chime that I can connect via WiFi to my doorbell? Or,, is my only alternative to upgade the transformer for my existing wired chime?

@mosstheboss  and @Dawys

You can turn on the "Visitor announcements" setting for your doorbell and get a chime and "Someone's at the [NAME OF DOORBELL]" on all of your Nest Hubs, Nest Minis, and Nest speakers.

This is not the solution I was thinking of.

My friend has a security system, not a Google system, but is integrated into his Google speaker. Instead of a traditional chime, he use a "wireless chime" that he plugs into an outlet.  When somebody rings the doorbell, he hears it on that wireless chime. So, is there a similar wireless chime that Google Nest doorbell has?

@mosstheboss

What Google Nest provides is the ability to use a Nest Mini ($49 US: https://store.google.com/us/product/google_nest_mini?hl=en-US, sometimes on sale on other sites) as a wireless chime. They don't sell a dedicated wireless chime. Some customers in this forum report buying a Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) and a Nest Mini as a package.

Hi folks,

@mosstheboss I understand your inquiry about the wireless chime. We're always looking for ways to improve and to bring more features in the future. While we don't have any news to share if they'll be releasing any new products, I'd suggest you send a feedback about this to inform the Google Engineering team. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this. Here's how: Share feedback.

I appreciate the help, @MplsCustomer and Archie.

Hello Dawys,

Uh-oh! I'm sorry to hear that. Let's see what's going on. Are you looking for a wireless chime as well? Have you tried to check the power and voltage of your current transformer? Hit this link to know more about the required power and voltage for Nest doorbells.

Keep me posted.
