Previously nest cam working great but I changed the router and modem and now I can’t connect, I get the message “Incorrect Wi-Fi Security, enter the correct TYPE and try again. (The upper case is mine to emphasize TYPE (Not sure what that means)) I have several devices throughout the house all connected fine, I know it discovers Bluetooth ok, “Dropcam”. Google help tried for a while to connect but failed and two hours trying seemed rather excessive . Anybody help coz this Nest cam is going in the trash otherwise, thank you in advance.

Sounds like when you setup the new router, the security type on your wifi changed. Can you check your settings and see what you are running? (WPA, WPA2, WPA3, make sure its personal NOT enterprise, suggest WPA2 personal)

There is no option to choose the type in the app, only if I enter the WiFi manually do I get that option, when I try that I get the error “incorrect WiFi name.

Sorry to clarify, the Wifi Security settings would be in your router, not in the Google Home \ Nest Apps.
