Adding my experience to the literally hundreds of people on here whose doorbells have disintegrated. Even though I've had it for less than three years, it's out of warranty so I'm on my own.
It's a clear design and manufacturing issue right from the get-go. Insufficient quality plastic for an item that is specifically designed to go outside. I paid over £200 for it, and the same again in subscriptions. You really don't expect quality this poor.
Google really should acknowledge the flaw and replace with no questions. However, I'm stuck with something with atrocious build quality. I would hope they've rectified this in later models.

I have a Nest Hello Doorbell that is over 3 years old and still looks fine. Which doorbell model are you referring to? Maybe a photo to show the issue would help?

contact support pls they will help you

Support have told me "tough luck" as it's out of warranty. No option to attach a photo in this forum, so I can't do that - but it looks terrible, for a supposedly premium piece of equipment.

It must not be the Nest Hello Doorbell you are referring to as I don't see what part of it could even peel.
I bought this doorbell in August of 2020 and it still is in pretty good shape. Granted my door faces somewhat north so I don't get any blazing afternoon sun on it. And I do have a covered porch.
BTW you can attach photos by pasting in a copied photo or using the insert photos button in the toolbar

Oh the image upload button has reappeared. But I had to spend 10 minutes mucking around in photoshop to get it under the required filesize for this 90s-era bulletin board Google have chosen for their support channel

As I say, the forums are full of people with the same problem

Maybe the 'Consumer Rights Act 2015' can help?
Section 9 - https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/15/section/9 - Goods must be of 'satisfactory quality'
or even
Section 10 - https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/15/section/10 - Good must be 'fit for particular purpose'
If either apply then I believe in the UK we have 6 years to claim (it seems 5 in Scotland for some reason).
