I have not been able to connect to my Nest home from a browser on my desktop computer for a couple of weeks ?
Is the site down or what ?

I don't know what is happening in your situations, but we have had no issues accessing home.nest.com, and their status page (https://status.nest.com/posts/dashboard) does not indicate any outages.
You could try contacting Support:
1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Select your device from the dropdown, click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

Has been working fine for me. I use it every day. However I have seen this happen every now and then. Something gets confused in my Cable modem / Eero Routers get confused. When I power cycle the cable modem and Routers the website usualy comes back. Also, try a different browser. Also, another trick that has worked for me is if you are in Safari go to FILE and choose NEW PRIVATE WINDOW and see if you can access it from there. Hopes this helps.
