I found the tread for older nest cams saying "the app is outdated for this Mac version", but I did NOT find a solution in the thread.
I have an older indoor nest cam, and need to change networks, and tried to connect it to my Mac, and got a message that I need an updated app. There doesn't seem to be one. Is my older nest cam now useless? PLEASE post a solution!

I'm not sure what you mean by changing networks or connecting the camera to your Mac, but I've always gone to the home.nest.com website on my iMac, logging in with my Google credentials, to access my Nest cameras. I didn't even know there was an app for the Mac to access Nest cameras.

The older nest cams required plugging into your laptop with a USB cable, then double clicking on a file that shows up as on the nest cam. Since the network broke, and I have a new one in, I can't access it via the network (as it doesn't "know" the new one). And when I plug it into my laptop via its attached usb cable, I can't get anything to happen.

We've never tried connecting our cameras to our iMac. Maybe another customer on this forum can help, since Google Nest Support didn't provide a solution on the earlier post.
