so yeah the qr code was printed on the black doorbell in dark grey. That was a great move guys. Tried to wipe some dust off it, guess what.....you know.......gone. theres nothing in the boxes or sleeves or anything. I think you guys need to help me get this thing to work. Or I'm gonna need a new doorbell. From you. I've seen some of the unhelpful replies to others and I just wanna **bleep** that right now.i bought a doorbell c amera from Google, brand new, so Google owes me a brand new working doorbell camera with ink that stays on for important codes and stuff.nor at least a warning.  Thanks. You can just email me the new code if thats possible or email me for m y address where to send the new one and the shipping label to get this one back.

Thanks.

Hello everyone,

@Punkydafoxx and @Fr33lancr thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear about what happened to the qr code printed at the back of your Nest Doorbell. Normally, the qr code can't be wiped off easily by cleaning up some dust. The other way to add it to your Nest app or Google Home app is by typing its 6 digit setup code which is printed on the same spot where the qr code is.

Let us know if you have other questions in mind.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Best,
Emerson

Hi folks,

Just one quick final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let me know.

Thanks,
Emerson

I was wondering about that whole QR code sticker that came with my Gen 2 wired camera.  Like what happens if you misplace that little sticker?  Does that mean the camera can no longer be added to a home?  I am boxing my 1 day old Gen 2 wired and taking it back today.  Camera looks great, but clearly there are too many issues to deal with.

@Fr33lancr

We save the QR code stickers, and we also write down and save the 6-character Setup Code for each camera or doorbell, in case we never need to reinstall.
