Attempting to cast from a video player within chrome web browser on windows 10. I am met with a black screen with the blue chromecast logo. My chromecast and google chrome web browser are up to date, I can cast from other services i.e netflix/youtube without an issue. I have restarted my devices multiple times.
Having searched for solutions or similar issues I've stumbled across this.

Unfortunately the flags no longer exist in newer version of Google chrome.
If anyone has any experience or work arounds to get this fixed it'll be much appreacited. TIA.

To confirm, the video I am attempting to cast is from movie streaming website.

Hey there MartinHerbert,
I'm sorry to hear that one of the sites you want to cast isn't playing nicely with the Chromecast. I know from experience how confusing this can be, so I'd be happy to help out! Now, when you go to cast the website, are you just trying to cast the tab, or does the website's media player have a casting option? I would try casting the tab in this case. However, if that's what you've been doing, try casting using Google Canary and seeing if that works.

Thanks for your reply.
I have downloaded canary and it still won’t cast. Using the media-player’s (jw player) built in cast option. I can cast the tab itself but I get very bad playback due to network lag.

No problem at all! I'm sorry to say, but I'm afraid this issue may be on the website's end. Taking a look at the documents for JW Player, it could be a couple of factors, such as either a bad SSL certificate, or an incompatible file type. I would see if you are able to cast from this website on another device, such as a pone or tablet, to double-check, but I'm afraid the troubleshooting Google can provide is limited here.
