Chromecast Black Screen / No Signal

Attempting to setup my Chromecast with my TV for the first time but can’t get it to work. 
I’ve got the Chromecast plugged in via HDMI but it says no signal with a black screen. I’ve tried the troubleshooting with turning off the power for the tv and the Chromecast as well as switching HDMI ports to no avail.

I have tried it on my tv in my living room and it works fine but this is for my bedroom TV.

The Chromecast displays a solid white light.

Whenever I cycle the power of the Chromecast with the TV on, l will get the google logo for ~10 seconds before it goes back to no signal. I’ve tried all the buttons on the google remote and whilst it does show the white light to indicate the remotes working, it doesn’t resolve the black screen.

Does anyone have any ideas or has had a similar issue?

Try a different HDMI port on the TV . Also which TV do you use? Look if you run the latest firmware on the TV

Hi mate, I’ve tried all 3 HDMI ports to no luck.. and it’s a Hisense TV. the problem is that it loads the Google logo for a few seconds and then just goes back to ‘no signal’ screen

@Raccoon86, thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. It seems that the Chromecast device is working as intended, as you proved on your living room TV. I suggest you contact Hisense or have a local tech check the HDMI module of the TV. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for coming back to us. Could you tell us the specific model of your TV? Also, have you tried plugging in your Chromecast to a different TV to see if you experience the same issue?
