Chromecast missing screen source - Win 10

BossHoff

Hi all,

I've had a problem I can't seem to find any info on. I am missing one of my monitors as a screen source when trying to cast to my Chromecast (2nd Gen Model: NC2-6A5). Said monitor is a 1440p monitor, whereas my other monitors that do show up, are 1080p. Note: I'm not looking to cast more than 1080p, and if I switch the monitor in question to 1080p resolution it still fails to show on the screen list to cast. Any help is appreciated!

Hi BossHoff,

Thanks for reaching out. Please reboot the monitor you're having an issue with and your Chromecast device. Also, make sure you're casting from Chrome browser and it's updated.

If the issue persists, please do a reset on your Chromecast.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

I've restarted the chromecast and re-added it to my home network. The offending monitor is still missing from the cast list.

Thanks!

Hey there,

Thanks for getting back to us. Could you try to plug in the Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV? Plugging it into a different monitor or TV screen might also help.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Jennifer
