So I’ve had chrome cast for many years and upgraded to the newer version this past year. I’ve had it less than a year now and had no issues. But now for some reason, I can no longer use the app peacock from the home page or cast it from my phone. It says “something went wrong” message and to reach out to support but I’ve gotten no help…

I’m having somewhat of the same issue. Just recently bought a google hub max a month ago. I’ve been able to cast peacock from my phone to the google hub with no problem but as of a couple days ago, it will not play. I get the peacock logo on the google hub screen but when I put to play from the app, my phone stays loading what I’m requesting to play and nothing happens.

Hi folks,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.
@Scuarezma, kindly create a new thread and post it for the specific product, the Google Nest Hub Max (under Speakers and Display). Chromecast devices work differently from Google Nest Display devices.
@Nswaney96, is this isolated to the Peacock app only? Have you tried clearing the cache and reinstalling the app? Try to do a factory reset, then set it up from scratch. Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Kimy

I've been having the same problem where I couldn't cast to my Nest Hub, Nest Hub Max, or Nvidia Shield. Since I updated the Peacock app to 4.8.11, the Shield seems to have started working again with casting, but still no luck on the Nest Hubs.

Hi PyroSlacker,
Thanks for posting. Do you have a Chromecast device that is encountering this issue? If so, have you tried the steps above? If not, kindly create a new thread and post it for the specific product, the Google Nest Hub or Google Nest Hub Max (under Speakers and Display). Chromecast devices work differently from Google Nest Display devices.
Cheers,
Kimy

Hi Kimy,
Yes, I tried the steps above, I even tried installing various versions of the Peacock app to see if it was an error introduced in one of the updates. When the issue started, it happened on both nest hubs and my Nvidia Shield TV, but as of a couple days ago (after I updated the Peacock app to 4.8.11 on Aug 1st) casting Peacock to the Shield TV started working again. Unfortunately the Nest Hubs did not start working. I haven't tried it on my Chromecast with Google TV, it was disconnected at the time I was testing everything.

Hi there,
Thanks for the details, @PyroSlacker. Since this is not related to your Chromecast device, I strongly suggest that you create a new thread. Your concern is for the Google Nest Hub and Google Nest Hub Max (under Speakers and Displays). From the title of this thread, it would attract Chromecast users to share their ideas, but not for your device.

Kimy

Hi Kimy,
No, I started following a thread specifically concerning this issue on Nest Hubs. Now that it doesn't affect my Chromecast device anymore, I don't need help on this thread. Thank you!

Hello PyroSlacker,
Awesome! I’m glad that this has been sorted out. Feel free to create a new thread if you have concerns in the future.
Cheers,
