Hi Petry,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the late response. Let's check on this further.

A few questions:

  • Is this an initial set up or did it work previously?
  • What type of Chromecast device do you have?
  • What's the LED light status in your Chromecast (Solid or blinking)?
  • Is the Chromecast near the cast device?
  • Is the Google Home app updated?
  • What mobile phone are you using for setup?

Give these steps a try:

  1. Adjust the settings of the setup device.
    a. Android devices: Turn on Location Services.
    b. iOS devices: Turn on Bluetooth and Local Network Access.
  2. Uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app.
  3. Reboot your Chromecast, mobile phone, and Wi-Fi router.
  4. Manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone’s settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set up again.
  5. Try a different mobile phone.
  6. Factory reset your Chromecast.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Jennifer
