Connecting Chromecast to new WiFi

Gezmundo

My fiancée left me and subsequently cut off the household Broadband, which I didn't know about until it happened. Looking at the Google help pages, it seems to connect to my new Broadband, I would first of all had to "forget network" whilst still connected to it, the old one that is. But I couldn't possibly have done that, as I didn't know it was going to happen.

Is there any way around this problem?

Thanks

You don't have to do "forget network."  That only applies when you have both the new and the old networks running.

Your Chromecast should already have put itself back in Setup Mode when it lost the old network.  Just go through the setup steps again:

If that doesn't work do a Factory Reset to erase your Chromecast's settings:

Then, go through the setup steps.
