How do I disable Casting from/in my Chrome browser entirely? I have been at this for weeks and have not found any options that allow me to turn the feature off altogether or even for a limited period of time. I somehow have no control over when or what is Casting to devices, simply because we are connected to the same WiFi, it seems???
Please help. And if there is no way to disable this, please find a way to make one. This is an awful feature and should be optional, if anything. Safari does not seem to have the same issues, but I would like to continue using Chrome if I can.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide!

In my GoogleTV chromecast there is a setting under system - cast
I found this. Not sure if it may solve your problem but I would turn this off on each chromecast/googleTV and see if it changes anything? I could be completely wrong but might be worth a try. You can also turn this off within your phone google home thingy.

Do you not have to push cast to start casting something? Therefore you have control on what is being casted and where and when?

Unfortunately not, no – anytime I open Chrome at my house, I unintentionally take over my father's TV, seemingly for no reason other than being connected to the same WiFi network. I can't figure out a solution to this problem, and that is evidently because there isn't one!

You cannot block or remove the cast option in Chrome.
But, it should only cast when you choose the Cast option. Not automatically without your picking it.

Interesting. Well, what is not supposed to be happening automatically, is and has been happening for quite some time now. Thank you for your answer!
