I switch ISP today from Optimum to Verizon Fios. I was attempting to switch the network on my Gen 1 Chromecast and followed the instructions where I had to do a factory reset in order to do this. I did the reset and the TV stats to download the Google Home app and to follow the instructions. From the google Home app I tried to add a new device and it cannot find it. I also checked to make sure local network was enabled for Home and it was.
Any ideas what could be happening? I notice that my blue tooth is not finding the chromecast app. Lastly, I checked and it has the white flashing light.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all,
I found the answer! I got the answer from this forum:

The key was manually connecting to my Chromecast's SSID.
