Google photos still missing from ambient mode on Vizio V series televisions

First of all your choices here are absolutely ridiculous because the problem isn't any of those choices but then again this is Google you got a complicate everything...

It's been almost a year since I bought this TV and when I first bought it Google photos was a choice for the ambient mode as was Facebook photos. Now neither one are available and the funny thing is Google photos are still available on my Vizio D series TV. So what's up with this? I mean it's almost been a year since many of us 1st reported this problem and you still haven't done a **bleep** thing about it...

Also why is there not an option on this forum to upload a photo to show the problem like there is on the other forums, again this is Google you got a complicate everything

I am sorry, you are complaining to the wrong people.

VIZIO modified Chromecast on their device to remove that feature.  Not Google.

Each manufacturer gets to decide what settings to allow on their devices.

Apparently you didn't read the whole reply. Google photos are still available on my Vizio D series they used to be available on my V series but there was an update one day. I watched it happen then I had all kinds of problems with Chromecast and my V series. So after I went through all the settings that was one of the things I noticed was no longer there..

Hey duglop,

Chromecast built-in is open-source software, which means that TV manufacturers can edit the software in any way they see fit. If you've already tried basic troubleshooting, such as updating your TV's firmware and the Google Home app, there's not much we can do on Google's side of things. You should contact Vizio to see if they're aware that this feature is no longer available on certain Vizio TV models.

Yeah when the **bleep** will Google fix these God **bleep** problems I'm reporting none of them have been fixed... I've received many emails stating these are known issues, so if they're known issues why don't they do something about them?

Hey there duglop,

I totally understand where you are coming from. I would be frustrated as well if I had a recurring issue for over a year. We would be happy to address your questions, but please refrain from using inappropriate or abusive language.

Shall I list the problems alphabetically or by date I will gladly do that because I can't even cast from my **bleep**ing mobile now after another update this past week
