Hi sense TV with chrome cast or without chromecast?

I recently brought Hi sense smart TV. I am able to cast the YouTube app from phone to TV. At the same time unable to cast any other website from PC or phone. So, what is the solution? Can I fix additional Chromecast devise on TVs HDMI port? so that I can't connect by google home and casting also. Please advise

YouTube casting is different than "normal" Chromecast.

YouTube worked out a way for the YouTube app on your phone to talk to the YouTube app in your TV and tell it what to play.  It looks like casting (and uses the same icon which is confusing), but it only works in that YouTube-to-YouTube way.   You can't cast from other apps.

That sounds like the situation you are running into here.

Yes, you can connect a Chromecast device to your TV's HDMI and then use the full range of the 10s of thousands of casting apps.  That's what I do with one of my TVs; use the built-in YouTube app for quick things involving YouTube or my Google Movies library and then use the connected Chromecast for all of the user casting uses.  Best of both worlds.

Hi @pradeepccj

I am not familiar with Hisense TVs, but I found some links with people who are having issues with the build in Chromecast.

With almost any TV I bought in the recent years I put a Google TV Chromecast device in it just because it is better supported. So yes you will be able to cast to the Google TV Chromecast device if you connect it.

It does feel a bit double to have Android TV installed on your TV and use Google TV Chromecast at the same time. But most of the time I just ignore the preinstalled Android TV. 🤗

Thanks a lot
