Input button not working

The new Chromecast HD is great, except that on my Hisense tv, the remote's input button will cycle through all the inputs, but I can't press 'ok' so the graphic status on the screen. If it wasn't for this issue I wouldn't need to use the old remote, quite frustrating! I can see that other users have the same issue on other brands such as LG.

That button is a bit odd.

Here is how it works on two of my TVs.  Press it once to bring up the Input list.  Then, press it again (and again) to cycle through the options on that list.  When you get to the one you want, don't press anything and just wait a few seconds.  Both my TVs then auto-switch to the one that is selected.

No, this doesn't work on Hisense. The graphic just stays on the screen indefinitely, and covers the whole screen. I need an 'ok' button.

You may try contacting Hisense's Support to see if there is an option to set the TV to auto-timeout on that screen.

Otherwise, I'm afraid you are stuck using your TV's remote.  That's unfortunate, both my LG and Samsung TVs work with the trick I explained.

Hi GregM742,

Have you tried what @Byteguy has suggested? Did you reach out to Hisense too? Please be reminded that the remote won’t be able to control the input of some devices and/or models. You may have noticed that the remote may control the volume and power but not the input, which means that is as far as the control on the particular device/brand/model the Chromecast Voice remote can go. Let me know if you have further questions.

Regards,

Kimy
