Ok so I got new internet and so I had to reset my hood and my Google tv but I also lost my controller so I can’t connect my tv without my controller and I’ve looked everywhere can’t find it. But it’s also saying that I can’t use my phone as a controller BECUASE the tv is offline?

If you've changed Wifi, that's why your Chromecast is offline as it will be trying to connect to your old Wifi network. To use your phone as a remote, your phone and Chromecast need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

To resolve this, you need to factory reset your Chromecast:

  1. While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press then hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED should start to blink yellow.
  2. When the LED light turns solid white, release the button, and the Chromecast should then reset.

You'll also need to purchase a new voice remote if you cannot find the one it came with, as it cannot be setup without a voice remote. It's available on the Google Store:
