Mobile Hotspot on Google Fi will not connect with chromecast Gen 3

My google Fi phone with mobile hotspot turned on (wiFi off or on) will not connect with Chromecast Gen3. Tried several things including going through the Google Home App. I get the message "Couldn't find Hotspot"

I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that hotspot issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out! Now, according to this article on not recommended network types, I'm sorry to say, but mobile hotpots are not a support configuration. Some users have gotten them to work here and there, but they aren't stable enough for use of Chromecast.
