My chromecast remote is not working

My remote has stopped working

Thanks for reaching out. Let's check on this further.

 

A few questions: what's the LED light status in your Chromecast Voice Remote? Was anything spilled onto the device? Can you confirm if the metal contacts of the battery terminal look contaminated, blocked, or discolored?

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  1. Replace all batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not use lithium-ion or any other batteries with rated voltage above 1.5V.
  2. Reinstall the batteries after 5 minutes.
  3. Unpair and reset the Voice Remote, then pair it back. On the TV interface, go to Settings > Remotes and Accessories > Chromecast Remote > Forget.
  4. Factory reset the Chromecast device and the Voice Remote.
