Peacock app not working correctly

My peacock app no longer loads shows or movies. It'll load the app just fine however when I select a show it acts like it's buffering but then return to the selection screen with no errors. I can cast it from my phone just fine but if like to use the app and remote. I've cycled power, uninstalled/reinstalled the app, factory reset the Google TV, tried a different network, forced updates, basically everything except factory resetting the router (to many other smart devices for that to be an option).

Hi folks,

 

That certainly hasn't been easy for you ― let’s check this out.

 

Do you both have a Chromecast with Google TV? Do you have a Chromecast dongle connected to your TV? Was it working before? Where are you trying to cast/play and from which device? Could you specify the devices involved?

 

In the meantime, reboot everything, including your WiFi router.

Hi,

Yes, I have the Chromecast with Google tv dongle. The app on Google tv is what is not working. I can cast directly from my iphone and it works fine. But if I go through the Google tv interface it does not work (using the remote control). The only devices being used are my Samsung tv and the Google tv dongle when this is not working.

Hi again,

 

@Eflegen, have you tried other built-in apps from your Chromecast with Google TV? Could you transfer the Chromecast dongle to a different HDMI port so that we can narrow things down. When did the peacock app stop working? Because, when checking out this link, it's not available. What is the exact error message you are seeing? From what country are you from for me to know the availability.
