I am unable to ask Google Assistant or use a automation to show my Google Cameras on any Chromecast device (I have 7 Chromecast devices). I get a grey screen that has a camera with a line in the center of the screen. I am however able to show my camera's on my Google Home Hubs.
I am not sure what happened because this has been working for months now and all of sudden I started getting the grey screen.
I have factory reset a Chromecast and didn't seem to help. I rebooted my WIFI and rebooted my camera's. Nothing has helped.
Any help is appreciated!

It must be a bug. Not many people use this for it to be noticed. I use this everyday, missing it a lot! I did submit a ticket to Google hoping they reply on here or to the ticket soon.

I have seen a lot of people complaining of this but haven't seen any solutions yet and they all seem to be recent.

Hi,
Can you try a sequential reboot on the devices Wi-Fi router, Nest Cameras, Google Home devices and Chromecast. If that doesn't help try factory reset your Chromecast device.
Let us know how it goes. There seems to be a few users reporting similar.

When I submitted a support ticket via Google One. They asked me to reboot my wifi and reset my Chromecast device. Both didn't resolve this issue. I did reboot one of my hubs as it was hung up and didn't seem to help either. Should I still do as you requested?

Thanks for trying the suggestions and this issue has been escalated to our Community Specialists from Nest.

What did you do to fix it if you don't mind sharing.

I didn't do anything. I tested today and it is working again. Is yours not working?

I have not tried today. I will when I get home from work and report back.

Ok you should be good now. I am guess Google did something on their side to resolve this.

Yes, you are right. I think they did something on their end because all is working now.
