I changed my internet provider so I’ve had to update my chromecast with the new network. I had to do a factory reset because It wouldn’t let me change it in the google home app. 

so I’m starting from scratch. I’m on the welcome screen, I’m trying to detect in the google home but it cannot find my chromecast. I’ve done a hard reset

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue connecting your Chromecast to your new WiFi network.

 

If the Chromecast isn't within the setup list in the Google Home app after a reset, please try to manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone’s Settings > Open WiFi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set up again.
