Hi Team,
Having issues with my chromecast tv inbuilt (Kogan TV). When i cast my chrome web browser to my TV, the audio works but I get a black/blank screen. After resetting the tv to factory settings and updating the chromecast app, it works well but once i turn the TV off and then turn it back on again to chromecast, the same issue occurred. Is there a fix so that I don't have to reset my TV every time I want to cast to my tv from my laptop?

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. A few questions: is this via cast tab (page only of a specific tab) or cast desktop (the entire computer screen)? Is this happening on one website only or on all websites? What website(s) are you experiencing this on? Have you tried casting from a mobile app?

Apologies for delay in responding, i missed this message. It is from the browser via cast tab. It looks like I have to switch my TV off at the wall and turn it back for the chrome cast to work every time i want to use chrome cast.

Chiming in, what is the cast version of your TV? Also, have you tried resetting it to refresh all the settings on your TV?

Hi Muddi,
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the Cast app, and then update it the app, it doesnt work. I also have to reest factory setting on the TV and updated the apps again then before it works again. I rather not have to do that every time i want to cast. I have noticed that once it works, and i turn the tv on and off again, it stops working and i only get audio and not video when casting. if i turn off the power at the power point before casting. it seems to work again.

Thank you for the details. Some of the workarounds involve turning off the TV itself and then turning it back on. For further help, try to contact Kogan. Let us know how it goes.
