Google Assistant loops when arming Simplisafe to HOME

After installing my SimpliSafe system and linking it to Google Assistant I am finding it impossible to use voice commands to my Nest Hub to arm the system in HOME mode.  Whenever I say, "Hey Google, Set Simplisafe to Home"  the system responds, "I'm not sure what level to set the SimpliSafe to, try saying set SimpliSafe to home or set SimpliSafe to away" If I again try to say, "Hey Google, Set Simplisafe to Home" the reply is AGAIN,  "I'm not sure what level to set the SimpliSafe to, try saying set SimpliSafe to home or set SimpliSafe to away".  This will continue forever if I don't give up!

On the contrary, if I say "Hey Google, Set Simplisafe to Away", it works just fine, but of course will set off the motion sensor if I try to move!  I have tried to embed this into a routine and the same thing happens.   Is Simplisafe supposed to be compatible with Google Assistant or not.....or only sometimes?

Sorry to hear about this experience. Have you tried using these commands?

 

"Hey Google, turn on the security system" and the Google Assistant will respond intelligently, asking which mode you want to set.
"Hey Google, arm SimpliSafe to Home"
"Hey Google, arm SimpliSafe to Away"
"Hey Google, set the security system to Home"
"Hey Google, set the security system to Away"
"Hey Google, is the security system armed?"
"Hey Google, am I protected?"

 

Let me know if any of these commands work.

Sorry I couldn't get back to you because I was away from home and couldn't test out the commands that you sent me.  Here are the responses that I got from Google.....

I'm net sure which level to set simplisafe to.  Try saying Set simplisafe to home or Set simplisafe to away. (If I use the Home command it continues to cycle, while the Away command will work)

I don't know but I found these results on search...
 
The Google system seems to be having difficulty with the command containing the word "HOME".  I thought it might be some sort of conflict with my location name which was originally "Home".  So I changed the name of the location to "VJSHOME" to see if that was causing a conflict, but the system responded exactly the same.  While searching on the internet, I have found that other people have this exact same problem.  
 
I've even tried to add a word after "Home" in the command (like "Please"), but that didn't help at all.

Thanks for trying the steps. Have you already tried to unlink and relink your Simplisafe account?

Hi Princess,

I had done that before, but at your suggestion, I did a search and discovered a different way to relink the device.  In the past, I would hit the + sign on the mains screen, then "set up device", and then "Works with Google"....and then add Simplisafe from there.

 

This time I hit my profile icon on the main screen, then "Assistant Settings", then "Home Control", and added Simplisafe from that point.  Now it is working with the command "Hey Google, turn on SimpliSafe to Home".  Not sure what the difference is, but I will wait a few hours and then try the command again and see if it works later tonight.  My fingers are crossed.
