Google Home doesn't show remote control for new Chromecast.

I just connected a new Google Chromecast.  It went through all the setup choices with no trouble.

In the Google home app, I can remote control another Chromecast on my home, but this new one will not respond to any remote app.

Thanks for reaching out. Are you pertaining to the virtual remote in the Google Home app? If yes, can you see the option that says open remote when you tap your Chromecast in the device card? Please try to uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app and reboot your phone. Also, check this support website article to see more information about the virtual remote.
