How can I stream custom TV apps like Yacine TV APK on Google Nest Hub?

 Hey everyone,

I’ve been experimenting with different ways to stream regional TV channels and live sports on my smart home setup. I recently came across an app called Yacine TV APK, which lets you watch various live channels directly from Android devices.

I’m curious — has anyone here managed to cast or integrate third-party streaming apps like this with a Google Nest Hub or Chromecast setup? I’d love to know what methods or settings worked best for you.

For reference, here’s the app I’m talking about: Yacine TV APK site

Any insights or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance 🙌

I’ve tried something similar with other APK-based streaming apps.
Unfortunately, Google Nest Hub doesn’t natively support installing third-party APKs. However, if you have a Chromecast-enabled TV or dongle, you can simply cast your Android phone’s screen while running Yacine TV APK — it works smoothly for most channels.

Just make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, and casting permissions are enabled in the Google Home app

Yeah, I’ve tested Yacine TV APK too — works great when casting from Android! 👌
You just can’t install it directly on Nest devices because they run a modified system. I usually use it on my phone and then cast to my Chromecast Ultra — no buffering issues so far.

If you’re looking for a guide, the one on Yacine TV APK’s official site actually explains the setup steps pretty clearly.

Most third-party APK apps don’t support native casting on the Nest Hub, so they usually don’t appear as a direct option. Android’s built-in Cast Screen feature is the simplest workaround. I’ve seen the same method work while checking a KissKh streaming guide here: https://kisskhinfo.app
— and it stays within normal device rules.

Hello,

Yes, You can’t install it directly on Nest devices, but casting works smoothly, and I haven’t faced any buffering issues. From my experience, using a Chromecast-enabled setup makes watching live sports and shows really easy and reliable.

Tried this myself! Just screen mirror from your Android phone with Cinema APK installed and cast it to your Nest Hub works great for live sports and regional channels. Make sure both devices are on the same WiFi and you're good to go!

Hey,

You’re right — Google Nest Hub doesn’t support installing APK-based apps directly, since it runs a restricted Cast OS environment.

The most reliable method I’ve tested is screen casting from an Android device:

• Open the streaming app on your phone
• Use “Cast Screen” or “Smart View”
• Select your Nest Hub or Chromecast
• Keep both devices on the same Wi-Fi network

This works fine for most live channels, although performance depends on connection stability.

If you’re trying to set this up properly, I came across a detailed step-by-step guide that explains installation, casting, and common fixes (like buffering or app crashes):

It also covers device compatibility and alternative setups like using Chromecast with Google TV, which works better for third-party apps.

Hope this helps!
