I have a google Home speaker. I have plugged it in, and want to use it as a bluetooth speaker for my android phone.
I do NOT have wifi in the house.
When I plug the speaker in, and try to say "hey google, enable bluetooth pairing", or any other combo of words from all the articles I've read, it rudely interrupts me and says "wireless is not connected" - to that effect.
I have added the Home app to my phone, and cannot get to any point where I can set the stupid thing up as a bluetooth speaker, despite any articles/forums/help I've read without being connected to a wifi router first.
I can see the device in my available wifi connections in settings on my android phone, but it does not connect.
How do you connect to a Home speaker to connect without wifi?

You can't unfortunately. It must be setup and connected to Wi-Fi and the internet, at least initially. Once setup, it can be disconnected from Wi-Fi/internet and will allow you to use it offline as a Bluetooth speaker. To achieve that aim, you can try to use a phone or tablet as a Wifi hotspot. Note you will need 2 devices to set this up.
