My lights won't turn off with voice command

My lights won't work with voice command or display. Speakers answer questions and other things but won't turn lights off. What's going on?

Hey Phennings,

That certainly hasn't been easy for you — let's figure this out.

A few questions: what's the brand of your lights? Are they working on the native app? Also, what's the exact command and what's the response of your speaker when controlling your lights?

These steps might help:

• Make sure your devices are connected to the same network and within 15-20 feet of your router.
• Unlink and re-link your lights from the Google Home app.
• Reboot your speaker, lights and router to refresh the connection.
