Nest Wifi Point as Speaker

HomeOwner

Hello, I had Nest Wifi before and now I switched to Nest Pro. I am aware that the old Nest Wifi Points cannot be added as additional wifi points as they are not compatible. However, I am trying to find out if I can use this as a standalone speaker without joining it to the mesh. I tried resetting the device and add it through Google home app but it only tries to add it as another wifi point and fails but not as a speaker. I wish it can just be used as a speaker. Any ideas anyone?

You can only have 1 Wifi network per home structure. To use your Wifi point as a standalone speaker, you'd need to set it up in a separate home in the app than your Nest Wifi Pro.
