Google Nest uses some sort of Google database for all addresses and timezones worldwide, apparently provided by Google Maps. Numerous other customers in this forum have reported incorrect timezones assigned to their addresses, addresses not recognized as valid, and other location issues. Sometimes Google Nest responds by telling customers to post in the Google Maps community forum, but most of the time Google Nest won't even acknowledge there's a problem, much less provide a mechanism for correcting their database.
