Can’t play clips

For months now my cameras record clips but I cannot view them. Why do I pay for a feature I haven’t had in months? I contacted Nest and they gave me no solutions.

Hi there,

I apologize for my late response and thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I understand how frustrating your situation must be, and I would love to help however I can. I would suggest that you try to Restart or Factory Reset your device to see if that issue fixes itself. You can learn how to do that here

Best regards,

Brad

So somehow a hard reset on 7 cameras is going to fix this issue ? I think not. If it were one camera having the issue it would make sense but spending an entire day to climb ladders and get the codes, which a dumb design, to reinstall them is a waste of my time. How about what I’m paying for should be working otherwise why am I paying  $17 month? I hated ring for the same reason. Now this sucks too. What good is camera footage after a crime if we can’t view a clip to hand over to the police? On going issue for months now.  It’s frustrating as hell.

Hey there,

There is no remote restart or reset. You will be asked to do this step regardless of the issue because a restart or Factory reset truly removes most issues these cameras have. It just reestablishes the connections, and helps out. If you wish to go through other troubleshooting steps, I would suggest reaching out to Support for further assistance.
