Free trial???

So I just signed up for the free 30 day trial of Nest Aware, and the setup skipped the option to enable extended video history. When I went to enable it manually, it said I needed a subscription, and to choose my payment option. "No big deal" I thought. This is just what they will charge me after my 30 day free trial is up..... Nope! I was charged $85.28 for a yearly subscription... And there is literally no phone or chat support. What gives Google?
