Google Home drops connection and will not reconnect to Nest camera

Yesterday I migrated one Nest camera to Google Home, prior to doing this the camera worked flawlessly and not once did it drop the connection. Now under Google Home it takes a long time to connect and then within a few minutes disconnects and then will not reconnect. I should not have converted Nest to Google Home but did1 so more than one person could access the one and only Nest camera we use as a pet cam. Google Home is frustrating to use with little or no support. Its been a total waste of my time. I would like to convert back to using the Nest App, but would appreciate any advice for how to accomplish this.

Hey I'm having the same issue. I see no responses did you ever get any support or a solution as to how to fix thos constant problem? Can you let me know how I can fix this if you did find a resolution? I'm disabled and put in a lot of time also. I'm getting really tired of paying for service and getting nothing in return ya know..... 😊 Thanks for reading

I contacted Google support and they were very helpful. We used a screen sharing so they could look at the phones configuration and walk me through what so far appears to be a solution. The option of  Home/Away Assist is set as   "Home" Turns Off and "Away" Turns On, originally my phone was set up as "Away" Turns Off. Today I was able to connect the Nest camera while on cellular. There may have been other changes that were made as the tech was having me access both Nest and Google Home various screens, so its possible this one change alone may not correct your issue. But I would recommend giving them a call if it does not.
