Hi there, Gerryl.

I am terribly sorry, but this is the Nest Community Forums for Cameras and Doorbells. You will want to look for assistance within the Speakers and Displays Forums found here. Thank you for bringing your feedback, either way.

Best Regards,

Brad.

We’ll still not happy with Nest cameras which I’ve had for a few years now in that home/away doesn’t seem to work along with a schedule.

I’ve raised this before and did have a chat session this am with someone but seems futile perhaps it’s me.

All I would like to achieve is a schedule when I’m home say external cameras on, indoor cameras off, except at night when all cameras on.

Then when I leave home all cameras should be on and protect my house.

It’s unreliable and inconsistent.  Todays chat session with someone? Implied to turn off auto switching. Firstly there isn’t anything actually called that but could mean home away phone detection (geolocation) but why turn it off as that is surely the mechanism for automatically arming cameras when leaving home.

Maybe I am expecting too much but I would have thought simple if/then/else or IFTTT function (basic coding logic) would suffice.

If any conflict is expected then a priority or hierarchy could be enabled.

This could be further enhanced with a second either/or phone as if I leave but my wife is home I may not want the cameras Ron whilst someone is home. Although I’d be happy to see the first functions implemented.

So far I consistently find I go to bed and cameras don’t come on or I leave home and they don’t come etc.

I have a) a schedule set & b) home / away set to use my phone.

Thanks

Oh and yes Nest hub mini still works for a day or so then goes black screen. So no fix as yet.
